Woodland Hills, CA – February 14, 2007 -- Key Information Systems, a leading technology firm in the western United States, recently participated in a special project with Habitat for Humanity to help demolish and rebuild homes for victims of Hurricane Katrina. The project focused on the Musicians Villagesection of the city’s 9th Ward and represents an extension of the company’s community and charity involvement.

The effort was coordinated by IBM in conjunction with a conference it hosted in the city. In New Orleans to attend the conference, several Key employees volunteered for the project including Pete Elliot, Paul Johansen, Nick Zebio, Dru Murphy, Rob Snyder, Bart Fernandes and Matt Otto. Key also donated $1,000 to the New Orleans Relief Fund of Habitat for Humanity.

Some 250,000 homes in New Orleans were badly damaged by the devastating August 2005 hurricane, with 30,000 homes totally destroyed. Habitat for Humanity plans to rebuild 80 homes over a two-year period.

"New Orleans still has a very, very long way to go. Our people jumped at the chance to help and did an outstanding job," said Elliot, Key’s director of marketing. "Their attitude spoke well of what Key is all about. It was the most significant contribution we've made to any organization in recent memory and the most meaningful IBM event we have ever attended."

Key has a longstanding commitment to community and charity activities. They have been a major sponsor two years in a row at the Nissan Open which helps support programs run by the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce. And they have supported a variety of youth sports programs as well as theLos Angeles Unified School District.

"As a very successful company, we believe it is imperative that we give back to the community," stated Lief Morin, president of Key Information Systems. "It was very gratifying to be part of this special opportunity coordinated by IBM to assist the people of New Orleans in recovering and rebuilding their homes."
